Welcome back to Day 5 of the Manifest Your Best Year Yet New Year Newsletter! Woo!
Today we are finishing off the 4 pillars that are jump-starting us with the energy needed to manifest our best year yet in 2023.

Plus tomorrow, January 21st, is the first New Moon of the year! So, of course, I had to include a little New Moon ritual for you in today’s newsletter too. :)

For now let’s talk MOTIVATION!
Motivation is defined by Oxford Dictionary as “the general desire or willingness of someone to do something.”
Which sounds great, right? Don’t we WANT to WANT to do the things we need to do in order to achieve our goals?
I mean ideally, yes.
But is that realistic all the time? No.
And listen, I’m the first to say “fuck realistic!” (If you enroll in Align + Attract you will definitely hear me say it there lol). But there are certain things in life that we just can’t avoid! Like experiencing the full range of human emotions.
Yes, some days you will feel on top of the world - you got great sleep the night before, you’re feelin energized, happy, excited and motivated af to go after your goals!
But, in case you haven’t realized yet (although I’m sure you have), there are days where we definitely do not feel this way.
And guess what? That is OK!
Another thing you will learn in Align + Attract, especially as we move into the second phase (The Shadow Work / Release Phase) is that you are human and it is ok, normal and HEALTHY to feel the full range of human emotions!
Some days you may be really tired or sad or unhappy and you just don’t feel like jumping for joy when you think about the things that need to get done that day (*or doing the 3-5 daily tasks you decided on Day 3!).
And some days, you may just have to take a mental health day and let yourself feel through what you’re feeling through and that’s ok too!
But on the days you just aren’t quite feeling lit up to do the things, the below motivation trick will help to re-light the fire under your a**, remind you why you’re doing what you’re doing and get you charged up and ready to GO!
This exercise will help you to know just the right language and imaging to use to light your own personal fire of motivation and even get your subconscious mind on board with you too!
For the following exercises read each step one at a time then close your eyes and perform the exercise step before moving onto the next:
Remember yesterday when we talked about momentum?
I want you to think of the momentum wave you’re riding currently.
Just quickly take inventory of where you are right now.
No further than that, just think of right now, where you are in all areas of your life.
Only spend a quick second here and then move on to Step 2!
Now think about where you want to go.
Think about if you were to decide, right now, in this moment, to do things differently, if you were to commit to those daily momentum building action steps, if you were to commit to really taking ownership of your life this year and creating the change you want to see happen, if you equipped yourself with the knowledge and support to help you make these changes happen…
Think about where you would be a year from now.
And even if you can’t imagine your ultimate dream life vision being fully manifested yet, just think how much better off you would be, how much your life would have improved!
Spend some time in this visualization just tapping into all of the feels of what your life will be like a year from now with this level of commitment to your goals!
Now think back to that wave of momentum you’re currently riding.
If you were to not change anything about your life, if you didn’t commit to making changes, to going against the current even though it may be uncomfortable at first, if you just decided to keep doing the same old same old and letting your current wave of momentum carry you to your future…
Where would you be a year from now? What would your life look like?
It might not be that bad…but it would be about the same as it is now right? And do you want that?
Do you want that to be your future a year from now OR do you want the future you envisioned in step 2?
This exercise works on both towards and away motivations. Some people are more motivated by the idea of moving TOWARDS their goals. Others are more motivated by moving AWAY from what they don’t want.
Whatever image evoked the strongest emotions and works best for you to get you motivated is perfect! Use this when you need the reminder of why your dedication to your goals is so important and where this commitment is leading you to or away from!
